Wolverhampton's Roll of Honour and
Memorial

In the garden of remembrance (in the village centre), opposite St Thomas’ Church
in Wednesfield, there is a memorial for those who served in World War I, World
War II and post 1945. In Wolverhampton Borough Cemetery which is on Jeffock Road
near Bantock Park, contains 113 World War I graves as well as World War II
graves. The white cross above in the slideshow, is the cross of sacrifice and has the words “To
The Honoured Memory Of The Sailors And Soldiers Who Gave Their Lives For Their
Country In The Great War 1914-1918 And Lie Buried In This Cemetery” inscribed on
it. There is a roll of honour for past pupils at our school who
served in World War II. The
memorial is currently in Our Lady and St Chad's Chapel.
